THIS IS A STEP BY STEP GUIDE TO REALISTIC APPLE (GREEN) FROM
CHEAPEST MATERIAL EASILY
MATERIAL WE USE IN THIS DRAWING
•FABERCASTELL BI-COLOR PENCIL COLOR SET OF 18
•GELLY ROLL WHITE GEL PEN
STEP 1 : UNDERSTAND MATERIAL AND OBJECT YOU WANT TO DRAW
•First of all purpose of using grey toned sheet for realistic color pencil work is to highlight the curves on objects wrapper or depth of field on plastic surface when light was applied on the surface of object .
•Understanding object means to draw realistic object with color pencil obviously we need shadow to show the depth of object means in three dimensional manner height is also considered in drawing but we cant draw them so shadow here works as illusion of height to viewer.
•While creating reference for work just keep in mind don't take picture where there is no angle or any kind of height. Yes shadow as a height but little bit curve of high should be visible while creating (clicking) reference.
•Always put light above the object so you can get white reflection highlight and perfect shadow depth which looks like height
STEP 2: DRAW THE OBJECT
•As I suggest use grid method to draw object when you want to draw realistic object.
•It's okay to use grid method that doesn't show you are not good at free hand drawing …
•Using grid method means perfection in realistic works that sit.
•Create grid on reference (there are lots of apps available to do this).
•According to your paper size choose the size of object you want to draw on sheet and remember bigger object drawing means there is space for more detailing in depth, color layer etc.
STEP 3: INITIAL STAGE
•The first step to make a realistic wrapper of Chetak Pataki is to draw object precisely and the most basic step make a base layer to achieve first layer of tone you want to achieve.
•Second step in this is to give yellow bas layer of wrapper with watercolor or acrylic or alcohol base markers.
•Third step to do a black part base layer by markers I prefer markers because at value of tones in middle stage if drawing acrylic absorbs most if details of your touches which pencil colour well markers give a good layer to work on it.
STEP 4: MIDDLE STAGE
•For the second stage middle stage of work firstly give details to snacks that printed on the wrapper its hard to give precisely details by shade .. Pleasantly give details use brown, signum, golden yellow, orange and peat brown to give details in it.
•Another step is to going forward to both side vertical opener edges of wrapper use orange yellow and darker shade to achieve folded curves of vertical openers be precise there its most attractive part which will shine and give illusion to viewer.
•Next step go for some highlights and give as base to text of chatakapataka with acrylic or normal white pencil colour base ..
•And add colours to text give folds darker higher values and basic touch to final reflection and depth step.
STEP 5: FINAL STAGE
•Final stage give reflection and highlight and thus is main in this work for real surface looks like plastic.
•Give reflection and highlight by glassmaker, white gel pen and acrylic.
•And last and final stage is of shadow give that by whether airbrush, graphite or charcoal as darker you want and as in which tint You want.
•More smooth shadow more depth of field and illusion.
•See you on next work , ENJOY!!!!!
